Community fundraiser planned to support Manchester graduate Donna Jordan

The Manchester community is coming together to support one of its own with a Recovery Benefit Dinner for Donna Jordan, to be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 3pm to 6pm, at the Manchester Sportsman Club, located at 8501 Grossman Rd.
Donna Jordan, a 1980 graduate of Manchester High School, recently faced a sudden and life-threatening medical emergency that required extensive treatment at the University of Michigan Hospital. While she is now on the road to recovery, Donna continues to face a long healing process and is currently unable to return to work. The fundraiser is intended to help ease the financial burden during her recovery so she can focus fully on healing.
The benefit will feature a meal of chili and cornbread, along with an afternoon of live music, a 50/50 drawing, and a silent auction. Among others, the live entertainment will feature Detroit artist Jennifer Westwood, whose performance is expected to be a highlight of the event. A $10 donation per person is suggested, with children 12 and under admitted free. All proceeds will go directly toward supporting Donna during her recovery.
Organizers say the outpouring of support already shown reflects the deep roots Donna has in the Manchester community and the lasting connections formed during her years growing up and attending school here.
Those unable to attend in person but wish to help can also make donations electronically via Venmo. Every contribution, large or small, will make a meaningful difference.
Community members are encouraged to attend, enjoy an afternoon of music and fellowship, and show support for a fellow Manchester graduate in her time of need.
