We reported in December that Manchester Community Resource Center (CRC) was awarded a $3,000 grant to fight food insecurity in the community by the Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan Agent Charitable Fund. On Monday, January 5, Casey Walker, of Casey Walker Agency LLC, Farm Bureau Insurance, located in Manchester, and her team member Lorie Crison presented the check to the CRC. The grant will be used to support the CRC’s Weekend Kids Meal program, providing kid-friendly and nutritious meals to local children in need.

Walker stated, “I nominated the Resource Center for this grant after learning about their important work through a conversation with a current client. Their enthusiasm for the center’s mission inspired me to get involved and help further its hunger-relief efforts. The Manchester Community Resource Center has made a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families throughout our community, and I’m proud to support their work.”
