BRIDGEWATER TOWNSHIP, WASHTENAW COUNTY, MICHIGAN

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE GERKEN MATERIALS, INC. 

MINERAL EXTRACTION LICENSE RENEWAL AND EXPANSION APPLICATION

Notice is hereby given that the Bridgewater Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on March 5, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in the Township Hall (10990 Clinton Road, Manchester, MI 48158) for the purpose of receiving final comments on the application for renewal of the Mineral Extraction License for the Gerken Materials, Inc. sand and gravel extraction operation at 13500 Allen Road (parcels Q-17-29-200-010 and Q-17-30-100-013), and for expansion of this License to also include extraction operations on two (2) vacant lots (21.247 total acres, parcels Q-17-30-100-002 and Q-17-30-100-003) located on the south side of W. Willow Road in the NE¼ of Section 30.

Any party may appear and comment at the hearing in person, by agent, or by attorney. Necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services will be provided to individuals with disabilities at the public hearing upon five days’ notice to the Township Clerk.
