Silver Club Memory Programs “Lunch and Learn” for Manchester caregivers rescheduled to next week

Are you a family caregiver looking for support and a well-deserved break? Are you a neighbor helping care for your neighbor, or a friend taking care of a friend? Looking for respite care for a loved one with memory loss?

Join Silver Club Memory Programs on Friday, February 20 from 1 pm–3pm, at the Manchester Senior Center (912 City Rd, lower level) for an afternoon of connection, learning, and care! Silver Club/Michigan Medicine and the Alzheimer’s Association are partnering with the Manchester Community Resource Center and the Manchester Senior Center to offer a free Caregiver Lunch and Learn on the topic of communicating effectively.

This event will begin with lunch and an educational presentation about how dementia affects communication, as well as tips for communicating with friends, family, and healthcare professionals. Following the presentation, there will be time for a Q&A and an informal caregiver support group discussion. Onsite respite care activities are available for those living with dementia or cognitive impairment.
