The Manchester Farmers Market is adding a second day! The 2026 farmers market season will include a Sunday market on the gazebo side of Wurster Park with vendors lining the south sidewalk from 10am to 2pm in addition to the long-running Thursday market from 3 to 6pm, which will remain on Adrian Street this year.
Dana Turner-Queen, the Manchester Farmers Market manager, explained that Sunday was added because the Thursday market was accommodating as many customers as were available and a weekend market would take more working customers’ schedules into account.
She stated, “We’re gearing up to have music and food trucks on both Sundays and Thursdays,” adding that music will be starting at 11am on Sundays and that she is in the process of meeting with the two nearby churches to discuss sound levels.
The proximity of multiple churches contributed to selection of the Wurster Park location for the Sunday market, but many factors went into the decision, including accessibility, walkability, visibility on Main Street, the pleasant setting, and the power at the gazebo. She added that having the Sunday market on Adrian Street would have impeded the Manchester Diner’s heavy Sunday morning traffic.
The 2026 Manchester Farmers Market season kicks off Sunday, May 3. Turner-Queen states that so far they have 17 vendors signed up with varying frequency.
