The Manchester community is invited to gather for a meaningful Good Friday worship service at Manchester United Methodist Church on Friday, April 3. This special evening offers several ways to participate, and all are welcome to come for any or all parts of the service.

The evening will begin at 5:30pm with a simple soup supper in the fellowship hall. This time is designed to be warm and welcoming, with a family-style atmosphere where people can share a meal and conversation. At 6pm, the gathering will continue in the fellowship hall where communion and a holy reflection will be offered by Rev. David Bucholtz of Bethel UCC.

At 6:30pm, the service will move into the sanctuary upstairs for a Tenebrae service. This portion of the evening will take on a quieter, more reflective tone as we remember the events of Good Friday through scripture and the gradual dimming of light. Cheryl Kaiser of Emanuel UCC will participate in the readings, along with Rev. Bucholtz and Rev. Susan Hitts of Manchester UMC.

Good Friday invites us to pause, reflect, and remember love poured out for the world. Whether you come for the meal, communion, or the quiet reflection of Tenebrae, there is a place for you. You are welcome at the Manchester Community Good Friday Worship Service.
