WCRC: Culvert replacements & forestry work this week

We have two culvert replacements scheduled for the Manchester area this week. On Monday, April 27, 2026, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin a culvert replacement on Grass Lake Rd between Sylvan Rd and M-52 in Sharon Township. The culvert replacement is expected to take approximately four days to complete. Then on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, WCRC will also perform a culvert replacement on Parker Rd between Saline-Waterworks Rd and Bethel Church Rd in Freedom and Lodi Townships. This culvert replacement is expected to take approximately two days to complete.

WCRC will be performing forestry work in Freedom Township on Bethel Church Rd between Schneider Rd and Steinbach Rd beginning on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, and then on Waters Rd between Loeffler Rd and Fletcher Rd beginning on Thursday, April 30. The roads will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to intermittent lane restrictions. WCRC encourages motorists, emergency services and others to use an alternate route. The road improvements are expected to take approximately two days to complete. 

All dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
