The children of Luther C. Klager Elementary School were treated to a surprise when they returned from Spring Break.  The Farm Science Lab had returned!

The Farm Lab is a traveling mobile classroom that tours around the state teaching children about agriculture and STEM science.  Funding is partially supported by the Washtenaw County Farm Bureau, with many other Farm Bureau organizations and other groups who support teaching agriculture in the schools.

Young 5s and Kindergarten classes learned about what plants need.  First grade explored insects, made insects, and even dressed up as insects.  Second grade students learned about all the incredible jobs farmers must do to run their farm.

The students of Klager loved the opportunity to learn more about life on the farm.  It was a wonderful experience for all the children!
