Legion calls for volunteers to help place flags

The American Legion requests volunteers to assist with placing flags along Main Street and removing them at the end of the day for holidays and special events. If you’re willing and able to help, please meet at the American Legion Post 117 at 203 Adrian St at 8am for flag placements, and then again at 5pm to take down the flags.

The following are the holidays that American Legion will place flags along Main Street:

  • Memorial Day- May 25, 2026
  • Flag Day- June 14, 2026
  • Fireworks July 3rd or 4th
  • Chicken Broil- July 18, 2026
  • August Fair Parade Day
  • Labor Day- September 7, 2026
  • Veterans Day- November 11, 2026.

With an aging and infirm membership, your help is greatly appreciated to continue this beautiful tradition in our community.
