Annual Fairy Garden Contest returning!

Tiny doors, whimsical gardens, and a touch of imagination are popping up once again as the Manchester District Library invites the community to participate in the return of its popular Manchester Fairy Garden Contest! Hosted in partnership with Worth Repeating, this beloved annual event encourages participants of all ages to create their own fairy garden and join the garden tour.
Residents living in Manchester can display their fairy gardens right in their front yards, while those outside the area can create a potted fairy garden to be showcased at the library. The library will begin accepting potted entries on Saturday, June 13. To participate, email your name and address to be included on the official Fairy Garden Tour map to LWohlgemuth@manchesterlibrary.
Community members will be able to take a self-guided adventure around town—and at the library. Printed maps will be available at both the Manchester District Library and Worth Repeating.
Six winners will be chosen—three children and three adults. In each age group, first place will receive a $25 Worth Repeating gift certificate, second place will receive $15, and third place will receive $10. All entries must be submitted by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, with winners announced on Tuesday, June 23. Whether you’re a seasoned fairy gardener or creating your very first, this community tradition is a chance to let your creativity bloom.

Stop by the library or visit the event calendar for information about this and other great programs for all ages at the Manchester District Library (MDL). MDL regular hours are Monday–Thursday, 10am–8pm, Friday, 10am–6pm, and Saturday, 10am–2pm. The most up-to-date hours and the latest news are always available on the MDL website.
