When the Manchester Community Resource Center’s food pantry cooler stopped working last month, the community did what Manchester tends to do — it helped.

Three local organizations answered the call. The Manchester Lions Club and Manchester Masonic Lodge #148 each contributed $1,500, and Worth Repeating provided a $2,000 grant. A small remaining balance was covered by monetary donations previously donated from community members, making it possible for us to order a new cooler. We expect it to be delivered in early June. In the meantime, a generous community member donated a refrigerator to help bridge the gap. We are so grateful for the support we receive from the Manchester community!

The food pantry serves residents of Manchester and the surrounding townships and is one of several programs operated by the CRC. Donated food items and non-perishables are distributed regularly, and a working cooler is essential to offering fresh and refrigerated foods to clients.

The Manchester Community Resource Center connects residents to resources that support their well-being. For more information or to learn how to support CRC programs, visit https://manchestercrc.org or call the office at 734-428-7722.
