On the evening of Thursday, May 21, Manchester Jr/Sr High School held its 155th Commencement Exercise in the gymnasium.

Principal Joshua Lindeman gave the welcome address. The National Anthem was performed by the MHS band, which was conducted by graduating senior Valorie Hieber. In place of a guest speaker, the class officers, Abigail Austin, Lucy Baran, Grant Johnson, and Ellie Marsh presented senior reflections. Lindeman then presented salutatorian Valorie Hieber and valedictorian Avary DuRussel. MHS teacher Randy Smith read graduates’ names while diplomas were presented. Abigail Austin led the turning of the tassel and Lindeman gave closing remarks.

The class of 2026 chose the white rose as their class flower, maroon and gold as their class colors, “I Lived” by OneRepublic as their class song, and “Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened” by Dr. Seuss as their class motto.
