Riverside briefly plagued by plumbing issue

Riverside Intermediate School families got a surprise message Wednesday when they were asked to come pick up their students if they were able because of a plumbing related issue. Superintendent, Steve Head reported on Thursday, “We had a blockage in the line yesterday that caused issues in a classroom and our media center. We were able to feed our students lunch, and asked any parents if they were available to come pick up their students. The issue was resolved and we are back in full session today.”
Riverside is scheduled for extensive remodeling this summer paid for with bond funds. Noticeable work has started on the school’s roof. Head emphasized that the plumbing problem was not related to the construction.
He concluded, “I want to thank our Facility team for all of their work, our entire Riverside staff, parents and students for their patience and understanding during the afternoon. It was truly appreciated.”
