WCRC: Roadwork in our area this week

On Thursday, June 4, 2026, Hayes Rd between Heim Rd and Old US-12 in Sharon and Sylvan Townships will close for a culvert replacement. This is expected to take one day.

On Monday, June 8, 2026, the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) will begin performing drainage work on Boetger Rd between Tracey Rd and Logan Rd in Manchester Township. The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. The drainage work is expected to take approximately ten days to complete.

Also on Monday, June 8, 2026, WCRC will begin performing drainage work on Herman Rd between Sharon Hollow Rd and Deer Valley Dr in Manchester Township. The road will not be closed to traffic, but delays are likely due to lane restrictions. The drainage work is expected to take approximately ten days to complete.

WCRC has extended intermittent lane restrictions by seven days on Smythe Rd between Pleasant Lake Rd and Wingate Rd in Sharon Township for drainage work. The work started on Monday, June 1, 2026, and will now take approximately two weeks to complete, subject to weather changes. Although the road will remain open, delays are likely to be due to lane restrictions. Motorists should consider alternative routes.
