Wario Wednesday and Cartooning 101 continue all summer at the MDL

submitted by Laura Wohlgemuth, Manchester District Library event coordinator
Just because summer is here doesn’t mean the fun stops at the Manchester District Library. Two favorite weekly programs that have been enjoyed throughout the year—Wario Wednesday and Cartooning 101—will continue all summer long.
Wario Wednesday will keep the gaming fun going every Wednesday at 3:30pm. Participants of all levels of experience can jump into friendly competition with favorites like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros., or simply come to enjoy the lively atmosphere and snacks.
The creativity continues every Thursday at 3:30pm with Cartooning 101, an introductory drawing class in which participants will explore how comics work and discover simple techniques for making drawings look like they move. Cartooning 101 is recommended for ages 9 and up and is a great fit for young artists, storytellers, and anyone who loves to draw.
Please note: the Manchester District Library will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Here’s wishing America a very happy 250th birthday!
Stop by the library or visit the event calendar for information about this and other great programs for all ages at the Manchester District Library (MDL). MDL regular hours are Monday–Thursday, 10am–8pm, Friday, 10am–6pm, and Saturday, 10am–2pm. The most up-to-date hours and the latest news are always available on the MDL website. MDL is proud to serve the City of Manchester, Manchester Township, Bridgewater Township, and Freedom Township. Village of Clinton and Clinton Township residents are also eligible for MDL library cards and welcome to use all MDL resources.
