Sharon Church will host “Messy Church – Jonah” on Wednesday, July 8, from 5:30pm to 7pm at 19980 W. Pleasant Lake Road, Manchester.

Messy Church is a recurring, all-ages gathering that brings the community together for a shared meal, hands-on creative activities, music, and a brief, family-friendly worship time. The July gathering will focus on the big ideas from Jonah that God calls us, God gives second chances and God’s mercy is bigger than our fear. We will be creating big fish, praying inside a big fish, experiencing ocean sensory bottles, making pool noodle boats and banana pudding fish snack and more. The meal plans include hot dogs with all the fixings served on fish plates!

Unlike a traditional church service, Messy Church emphasizes participation, creativity, and fellowship across generations. The goal is to provide a welcoming space where families and individuals of all ages can explore faith together in an informal setting.

The event is free and open to the community. Those planning to attend are asked to register by July 5th to assist with meal preparation. Registration is available at: https://sharongmchurch.breezechms.com/form/MessyChyurch133

In June, when the focus was on abiding in the vine, the joy around the parachute with hopping fruit blessed us all.  We all got a taste of what happens when we stay connected, but also what happens when some of let go and chaos ensues!

Sharon Church is a Global Methodist congregation serving the Manchester area and is committed to providing opportunities for worship, fellowship, and outreach within the community. For additional information, readers may contact the church office at sharongmchurch@gmail.com or call 734-428-0996.
