Sharon Church will host “Messy Church – Jesus Calms the Storm” on Wednesday, August 12, from 5:30pm to 7pm at 19980 W. Pleasant Lake Road, Manchester.

Messy Church is a recurring, all-ages gathering that brings the community together for a shared meal, hands-on creative activities, music, and a brief, family-friendly worship time. The August gathering will discover how Jesus has miracle working power, can calm the storms in life and our fear. The activities will include marble painting, a wave bottle, boat races, rain sticks, parachute waves, and rain cloud in a jar! The dinner menu will include pizza.

Unlike a traditional church service, Messy Church emphasizes participation, creativity, and fellowship across generations. The goal is to provide a welcoming space where families and individuals of all ages can explore faith together in an informal setting.

The event is free and open to the community. Those planning to attend are asked to register by August 9th to assist with meal preparation. Registration is available at: https://sharongmchurch.breezechms.com/form/MessyChurch-Aug1226

In July, when the focus was on Jonah, there were lots of noise making Jonah’s engaged in telling the story along with delicious banana boats on sea pudding! Oh, and a few surprise fish in the pudding.
