Adults are invited to get creative and turn everyday odds and ends into something beautiful during a Junk Journal Workshop on Thursday, August 6, from 6–8 p.m. in the City Room.

Junk journaling combines elements of scrapbooking, art and storytelling to transform an old book into a one-of-a-kind keepsake. During the workshop, participants will use specialty papers, scrapbook pieces, maps, tickets, tags and other found treasures to create personalized pages filled with memories and creativity.

The workshop is designed for all skill levels. All supplies will be provided. Participants are also encouraged to bring meaningful papers, photographs, postcards, tickets or other small keepsakes they would like to incorporate into their journals.

The program is geared toward adults, and advance registration is requested. Participants may register at the circulation desk, by calling (734) 428-8045, or through the online registration form at manchesterlibrary.info.

Stop by the library or visit the event calendar for information about this and other great programs for all ages at the Manchester District Library (MDL).
