The City of Manchester is pleased to announce the launch of a new community notification system designed to provide residents with timely and direct information regarding emergencies, utility issues, road closures, public safety matters, and other important City updates.

Recent events, including the temporary loss of water pressure associated with a City water-system project, reinforced the importance of having a reliable way to quickly communicate time-sensitive information directly to residents.

While the City will continue to use its website, local news outlets, and other traditional communication methods, the new notification system will provide an additional and more direct way to reach residents when timely information is important.

Residents are strongly encouraged to sign up for the new notification system. You can enroll by completing the City’s online signup form: HERE.

Residents will be asked to provide basic contact information, including their name, phone number, and email address, so the City can deliver notifications through the system.

The notification system officially launched August 10, 2026. The City will also begin incorporating notification-system enrollment into the utility-account process. New utility customers will be given the opportunity to enroll when establishing service with the City.

The City recognizes that effective communication is especially important during emergencies and unexpected utility or infrastructure issues. This new system will strengthen the City’s ability to provide residents with accurate information as quickly and directly as possible.

Residents with questions or who need assistance signing up may contact the City of Manchester at 734-428-7877.
