Sharon Church will host its annual Community Rummage Sale on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, from 9am to 6pm, at 19980 Pleasant Lake Rd in Manchester.
The sale will feature a wide variety of donated items, including clothing, household goods, books, kitchen items, small appliances, electronics, tools, and more. Rather than individually pricing every item, the sale will use a donation-based pricing system, allowing shoppers to give a fair amount for the items they select.
Community members are also invited to donate clean, usable items for the sale. Donation drop-off will take place Wednesday, August 26, and Thursday, August 27, from 8am to 5pm, at the church. Working electronics and appliances are welcome. The church asks that donors not bring tube televisions or items that are damaged, incomplete, or no longer usable. The goal is to offer items that can still be useful to another person or family.
Proceeds from the rummage sale will help support the church’s mission and outreach efforts. Any usable items remaining after the sale will be directed to a nonprofit organization whenever possible rather than simply being discarded.
The rummage sale has become an opportunity not only to find affordable items but also to reuse and repurpose things that might otherwise go to waste while supporting worthwhile causes.
