WCRC: Forestry work and limestone resurfacing in Manchester and Sharon townships

Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC) has announced limestone resurfacing in Manchester Township, which will result in daytime road closures, and continuing forestry work in Manchester and Sharon townships, which will result in intermittent lane closures this week.

On Monday, August 31, 2026, WCRC will begin limestone resurfacing on Hudson Rd between US-12 (Michigan Ave) and Lemm Rd in Manchester Township. The limestone resurfacing is expected to take approximately three days to complete.

On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, WCRC will begin limestone resurfacing on Boetger Rd between Tracey Rd and Logan Rd in Manchester Township. The limestone resurfacing is expected to take approximately three days to complete.

On Thursday, September 3, 2026, WCRC will begin limestone resurfacing on Mahrle Rd between Sharon Hollow Rd and Grossman Rd in Manchester Township. The limestone resurfacing is expected to take approximately five days to complete. The forestry work happening on the same stretch has been extended until September 2.

In Sharon Township, forestry work is being extended as well.

On Monday, August 31, 2026, the WCRC will begin performing forestry work on Bethel Church Rd between Meyers Rd and M-52 in Sharon Township. This is now estimated to last through September 4.

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, the WCRC will begin performing forestry work on Smythe Rd between Pleasant Lake Rd and Wingate Rd in Sharon Township. This is now estimated to last through September 8.

All dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
