Sharon Church will host “Messy Church – Elijah and the Widow” on Wednesday, September 9, from 5:30pm to 7pm at 19980 W. Pleasant Lake Road, Manchester.

Messy Church is a recurring, all-ages gathering that brings the community together for a shared meal, hands-on creative activities, music, and a brief, family-friendly worship time. The September gathering will discover how God provides enough strength, grace and encouragement for each new day, we can choose to trust God over our fears, and that often God’s provision shows up through the people around us, inviting us to trust and hope. Activities will include a flour and oil sensory station, unexpected friends game, communal art, generosity jar decorating, bread relay race, bird feeder craft and possibly a make your own flat bread station! Our celebration will include a short audience participation drama! The dinner menu will include tacos.

Unlike a traditional church service, Messy Church emphasizes participation, creativity, and fellowship across generations. The goal is to provide a welcoming space where families and individuals of all ages can explore faith together in an informal setting.

The event is free and open to the community. Those planning to attend can register at: https://sharongmchurch.breezechms.com/form/MessyChurch-Aug122681
