Sharon Church’s Annual Scrap Metal Drive this weekend

Sharon Church is excited to announce the return of its annual Scrap Metal Drive. It started  last weekend on Saturday, September 5, and will continue this Saturday, September 12, from 9am to 5pm.

Community members are invited to drop off unwanted scrap metal of all kinds—from old appliances and lawn equipment to spare pipes, wire, and miscellaneous metal items. Collection will take place behind the Fellowship Hall, with easy access from the Pleasant Lake Road entrance. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with unloading.

The church explained that all proceeds from the Scrap Metal Drive directly support Sharon Church’s mission initiatives. These funds help sustain outreach programs, provide resources for families in need, and strengthen the church’s ability to serve both the local community and projects beyond Manchester.

A spokesperson stated, “Sharon Church is deeply grateful for the ongoing participation of neighbors and friends who make this drive successful each year. With continued support.”

Sharon Church is located at 19980 W. Pleasant Lake Rd., at the corner of Pleasant Lake Road and M-52.
