5th & 6th grade football kicks off season!

Manchester’s 5th and 6th grade football team kicked off their season on Sunday September 13th in Grass Lake taking on Columbia Central. The boys showed up to play and walked away with their first win of the day, 24-13. Evan Herrst connected with Logan Lawson three times for rushing touchdowns. Garrison Reiff added on extra points with each touchdown. Grant Davis and Russell Rickert both had key interceptions on defense to help secure the win.

On September 20th the team headed to Napoleon to take on Hanover Horton. The rain made the game a very intense game down to the last second. Evan Herrst handed off to Cole Goodell for the only touchdown of the day. Garrison Reiff added on extra points. Cole Norgaard came up with a much needed interception to end the game for Manchester. Both the offensive and defensive lines fought hard through the whole game and Manchester came out with an 8-0 win.

Coach Goodell would like to congratulate Garrison Reiff who is 4-for-4 on his points after attempts.

The team will be playing in Manchester on October 4th at 2:30pm taking on Grass Lake. Please come out and cheer them on.
