Christmas in the Village planning meeting scheduled

Downtown businesses have announced this year’s Christmas in the Village theme, “O’ Christmas Tree,” and that they are holding a Christmas in the Village planning meeting on Thursday, October 22 at 7pm at Dragonfly and Birch, 115 E Main St. Anyone is welcome to attend. Christmas in the Village will be Saturday, Dec. 5. They are particularly looking for an individual or organization to take over coordinating the parade.

As in recent years, this year’s parade will be an evening parade on Saturday, making Christmas in the Village a one-day event. This year the parade is scheduled to start at 6pm with line-up beginning at 5:30pm. Whoever takes on the parade will need to round-up multiple volunteers to work at the line-up and the intersections on the day.
