Homecoming parade this Thursday kicks off events leading up to Friday’s game

Manchester Jr./Sr. High School (MHS) is holding its homecoming parade through downtown this week, on Thursday, October 1. Line-up will be in Emanuel Church’s parking lot at 5:30pm with the parade starting at 6pm. The Parade is open for anyone to participate, not just students. Candy can be thrown. This year’s parade route will be the same as last year’s, from Emanuel Church down Main street to Woodland Way, to Dutch Dr., then to the Athletic Complex
At 7pm that evening, MHS will be holding a powderpuff game in the stadium featuring whichever two grades win the playoffs on Wednesday, followed by Pandemonium, a bonfire event for MHS 7th-12th graders at 8 or 8:30pm (depending on when the powderpuff game ends) at Alumni Field.
The homecoming football game will be Friday, October 2, at 7pm, against Leslie. Admission is $5 at the gate with senior citizens and 4 and under free. On Saturday evening, MHS will hold their homecoming dance for 9th through 12th graders. Go, Dutch!
