Imagination Library announces Give Like Dolly Day

The Dollywood foundation along with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library has designated September 25 as Give Like Dolly Day. In recognition to her song 9 to 5 (9/25), September 25 will be a day to give to the children around you. Some of the ways they suggest giving is donating to your local chapter of the Imagination Library, read to children through a library program or the local school or donate your time to your community.
Right here in Manchester, 187 children between birth and age 5 receive a free book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Behind every book is a community of people who believe in the power of giving—our donors, volunteers, local partners and supporters who help make this program possible. We would like to thank those who have donated at any point since the program began in Manchester, and thank our new donors who have generously given since Dolly’s passing.

Every child in the 48158 zip code under the age of 5 is eligible to enroll in the Imagination Library and receive a free book monthly. You can register them online at https://imaginationlibrary.com/ or by asking at the front desk of the Manchester District Library. There is no charge to the family to participate. Questions?
