Sharon Valley Rd Bridge demolition to begin this week

On October 5, the Sharon Valley Rd Bridge over the River Raisin, between Sharon Hollow Rd and Meyers Rd in Sharon Township, was closed by the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC). The contractor began tree removal operations and mobilizing construction equipment. Demolition of the existing bridge will begin this week. The bridge replacement work will take approximately twelve months to complete. Sharon Valley Rd remains closed to all traffic; please follow the detour signs.
