Obituary: Doris H (Kuebler) Hough
Doris H Hough (October 13, 1927 – October 17, 2026)
Doris H (Kuebler) Hough, age 99 and 4 days passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2026. She was born on October 13, 1927 in Freedom Township, Michigan, the daughter of William and Lydia (Alber) Kuebler. Memorial service will be held on December 11, 2026 from 10:00am- 12:00pm with funeral service to start at 12:00pm at Eineder Funeral Homes~Manchester Chapel. Reverend David Bucholtz will serve as a celebrant.
On July 13, 1948 she married Merrick (Mugs) Hough. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1994. She was a homemaker and worked in the Manchester Community Schools in various capacities from 1967- 1995. She will be remembered for her dedication to family and friends, love of playing Euchre, travel, visits to the casino, her delicious pretzels and the fact she was an avid Wolverine fan (attending her last game in September this year Michigan VS UTEP). She was a member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ and often attended the church of her youth, Bethel United Church of Christ.
Doris is survived by her children; daughter, Terry Nickerson and son; Russ Hough (Kim); daughter-in-law, Linda Hough ,grandchildren Tracy (Erik) Patterson, Brian Hough, Amy Hough (Craig Lennon), JT Natter (Jenny), Danyel Hough (Zach Miller); great grandchildren; Megan Patterson, Austin and Mackenzie Natter, Parker Hough, Elena Miller; several nieces and nephews.
Doris is preceded in death by her son; Gordon, her son-in-law; Mike Nickerson, her parents William and Lydia Kuebler, her siblings and her in-laws; Merrick and Olive Hough.
