New Feature in The Mirror: Teacher Of The Month!
Teachers play an important role in the lives of our children and in our community. Each month of the school year we'd like to honor an outstanding teacher in the Manchester Community School district.
The Teacher of the Month will receive a certificate of excellence and an article in The Mirror.
Selection Criteria
Each month, October, through June, The Mirror will recognize a different teacher based on her or his contributions to the school, excellence in the classroom, leadership abilities, citizenship and a variety of other criteria. Teachers will be nominated and selected based on the following:
l. Excellence in the Classroom - engaging classroom instructional practices that consistently advance students to higher levels of academic achievement.
2. Motivation/Dedication- having the ability and desire to motivate and encourage students to advance past their expectations both academically and socially.
3. Leadership- serving as a positive role model for students in the classroom, throughout the school, and/or throughout the community of Manchester.
4. Creativity and Imagination- demonstrating creativity and imagination in their lesson plans and teaching methods that inspire students to learn.
How to Submit
You may submit your nomination by the 20th of each month by completing the form below.
All submissions will be kept and are all eligible to be used at any time.
