A pleasant summer night with outdoor music at the Village Tap was the setting for a CD release party for local band Risky Brenda.

The band's new CD, "What She Does," is a follow up to 2014's EP, "Wednesdays." The inaugural CD is available at the band's website as well as iTunes and Amazon.com. "What She Does" is currently available for cash sale only ($7) at Movie Planet in Chelsea, but the band also plans to have the CD ready to sell online along with "Wednesdays" within the next couple of weeks.

Risky Brenda has an eclectic and intriguing sound they call Northern Rock, that attracted more than 100 people to the Tap last Saturday night despite competing with the "Faster Horses" festival at MIS. The band's bio describes them as "spawned from the loins of a garage buried deep in the maze of lower Michigan's winding dirt roads," and "as potent and pure as mountain moonshine."

Featuring five Manchester graduates, all now in their 30s, Terris Ahrens, Juston Brady, Ian Chartrand, Nathan Smith, and Kevin Walter, Risky Brenda has developed a dedicated local following of all ages over the past three years and is working on scheduling future shows at the Village Tap and other venues.

The band's new CD, "What She Does," will soon be available online.
