Decrease Font Size Increase Font Size Text Size Print This Page

American Bison were once found wild east of the Mississippi River in places like the Leonard Preserve, but now are only found in Michigan in small managed herds

On National Bison Day, Saturday, November 6th from 2 to 4 pm, Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation is honoring one of the most majestic beasts to roam the land with a 2-mile hike through its native and ancient home — the tallgrass prairie of the Leonard Preserve. The hike will be led by Shawn Severance. Space is limited to 12 people. Pre-registration required. To register, email Shawn at severances@washtenaw.org
