After a year off for pandemic reason, the Manchester Christmas in the Village Lighted Parade will return this year on Friday, December 3, kicking off the 2021 Christmas in the Village event.

Organizations, teams, businesses, and individuals are invited to light up your vehicle, your animals, a float, or a group that will walk. To participate register at https://bit.ly/2021CIVParadeReg by Wednesday, November 24th. There will be a cash prize for best in show!

Formal line-up is at 6 pm at the Emanuel United Church of Christ parking lot at 324 W. Main Street. If you are competing, participants need to be lined up by 5:45 pm for judging. The parade will depart at 6:30 pm.

Christmas in the Village organizers are in need of volunteers to manage road barricades during the parade, serve as crowd control during the visit with Santa time after the parade, and to help with other activities. It takes a village to put on this beloved village event! Additionally, organizers are looking for volunteers to set up and take down Christmas trees, serve as assistant to the Santa photographer, stroll and sing, pick up canned goods to deliver to the CRC, and/or lead games and crafts for kids. To volunteer visit https://bit.ly/ManchesterCIVVolunteerRegistration .
