Some non-emergency crimes that occur in the Village of Manchester can now be reported to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office online.

The Online Citizen’s Police Reporting System (OCPRS) is a secure internet application that allows individuals to report some non-violent incident types online immediately. It assists individuals to create simple reports, saving law enforcement staff time, while making more information available without having to dispatch a deputy. It also empowers the community to report complaints from their homes or work, to save time on minor police complaints where the suspect is not known to the victim.

If you have a life- threatening emergency or are reporting a crime that is happening right now at your location, you should still call 911 immediately.

OCPRS can be used to report harassing phone calls with no known suspects; identity theft with no known suspects; larceny/theft with no known suspects; lost property; damaged property/vandalism; or accidental/non-intentional property damage. You can now report such incidents online at https://www.washtenaw.org/3439/File-a-Police-Report.

If you are reporting a non-emergency crime not listed above or are reporting a non-emergency crime that occurred outside of the Village in one of the townships, please call 734-994-2911 to reach Washtenaw Metro Dispatch. They will have a deputy/officer sent to your location or have the appropriate police agency respond to your incident.

When reporting an incident online, WCSO asks that you include: your name, address, birthdate, cell/home/work phone numbers; the time frames in which the incident occurred; how you became aware of the incident; a description of what happened; location of the incident (it is important that you confirm the incident actually occurred within Washtenaw County); a detailed description of the property that was taken or damaged: vehicle, insurance company, serial number, or account information that is needed depending on the type of incident report; and copies of account statements or other documents for cases involving identity theft. Please make sure that you have all of the necessary information available, at the time that you make your report.

After you submit your report online you will receive an email with a temporary reference number. You will not be able to obtain a copy of your report using the temporary reference number. Your report will be reviewed within three to five business days. Once it is approved, you will receive an email with your incident number and instructions on how you can obtain a copy of your police report from the Agency it was reported to.
