When we write about a State Park, we usually write about Watkins Lake Sate Park and County Preserve, it is it lies within Manchester Township. But we do have another State Park nearby that many Manchester area resident may be frequent as it has one of the closest public swimming beaches and boating access sites to Manchester. Hayes State Park is a 654-acre park located on Wamplers and Round Lakes in the rough rectangle made between Napoleon, Manchester, Onstead, and Tipton.

The DNR is looking for input on Hayes State Park for strategic planning. Have you visited Hayes State Park in the last ten years? Do you have opinions on its management? How do you think it could be improved? Visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HayesGMP to provide input.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
