For more than 50 years, the Manchester Co-op Preschool has been a fixture in Manchester. Multiple generations have started their education in that institution. Though it has had different homes over the years, it now is based out of the Klager Elementary Building.
The Co-op Preschool is a licensed early childhood program serving up to 20 children ages 3–5. It employs a teaching staff which is overseen by a parent-led board. The preschool has just created a new position, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and is currently seeking applicants. See job description here: CEO position job posting.
A Co-op Preschool spokesperson explained that the role is designed to support the sustainability of the preschool. By bringing someone in to oversee administrative operations, organizational development, fundraising support, community partnerships, and strategic planning, teachers will be able to focus on classroom instruction. The CEO will also maintain continuity from year to year as the parent board is always changing.
For more information about the preschool or the CEO opportunity, families and interested applicants can contact the preschool by emailing manchestercp123@gmail.com.
