The Manchester District Library invites book lovers to escape into a world of magic, mystery, and heartwarming adventure as its Adult Book Discussion group continues the 2026–2027 season!

Join fellow readers on Wednesday, October 21, at 6pm in the Claire Reck History Room as the group discusses Somewhere Beyond the Sea by T.J. Klune.

This enchanting fantasy novel takes readers back to Marsyas Island, home to a most unusual orphanage filled with magical children. Arthur Parnassus has worked hard to create a safe and loving home for six extraordinary youngsters, determined to give them the childhood he never had. Alongside his beloved Linus Baker and a colorful cast of friends, Arthur discovers that protecting his family may require confronting the secrets of his own past.

When Arthur is summoned to speak publicly about his troubled history, he finds himself fighting not only for his family but also for the future of all magical beings. Filled with unforgettable characters, touching moments, and a little bit of magic, this 416-page novel explores the importance of love, acceptance, courage, and standing up for those who matter most.

The Manchester District Library Adult Book Discussion group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Claire Reck History Room. A new selection is featured each month throughout the 2026–2027 season, offering readers a wonderful variety of stories and genres to explore.
